dreams

Many organisations spend much time and effort in attempting to predict the future. They use a variety of processes to try and see into the future and perhaps to imagine themselves in it. Most of these processes are based on analysing what has happened in the past and then projecting this data forward into future scenarios.

However, using those types of methods often results in a disconnection between the sense of present and the awareness of future. The future is seen as separate and uncertain where current intentions may or may not coincide with the eventual outcome.

Rather than trying project the past and present into the future, Dreamwork Futures uses a different approach and brings the future into the now. In any organisation, an accurate awareness of the future is usually already present in the organisational unconscious.

This awareness is usually fragmented and distributed amongst individuals and artefacts and is not overtly obvious. Dreamwork Futures helps to identify and voice this collective awareness to create the intended future, rather than just trying to abstractedly predict what might happen.
